Now is the time to recognize leaders in your unit and the district for their hard work over the year! You can nominate someone for all of our awards by completing this form with the exception of the District Award of Merit, our district's top honor. Please see the Award of Merit nomination form. Nominations are due by March 8, 2013. Winners will be recognized at the Soaring Eagle District Dinner on March 15, 2013.
Cub Scout of the Year: Cub Scout who has shown the greatest amount of enthusiasm for the program, being influential with his peers, & having fun!
Den Leader of the Year: Leader who has demonstrated the traits of leadership having the most impact with his/her Den.
Cubmaster of the Year: Leader who has gone above and beyond "the Pack Meeting." He/She is an advocate, leader, resource, & provides the best Cub Scout program for the Pack.
Pack of the Year: Cub Scout Pack who has embodied the spirit of Scouting through growth, retention, advancement and activities.
Boy Scout of the Year: Boy Scout who seeks responsibility, takes responsibility for developing his leadership skills, and influencing the growth of his peers.
Troop of the Year: Troop who has embodied the spirit of William Baden Powell through community works, advancement, character development, citizenship, and personal responsibilities.
Scoutmaster of the Year: He/She is an advocate, leader, resource, & provides the best Boy Scout program for the Troop.
Venturer of the Year: Venturer who demonstrates leadership and responsibility in the challenges and skills of a Crew while being a role model to other young adults.
Venturing Advisor of the Year: He/She is an advocate, leader, resource, & provides the best Venturing program for the Crew.
District Committee Member of the Year
Commissioner of the Year: Individual who has gone the extra mile to serve a unit.
Lifetime Achievement: Lifetime of voluntary service to the Boy Scouts of America.
Chartered Organization of the Year: Recognition of the chartered partner to a unit.
Chartered Organization Representative of the Year: Representative of the Chartered organization most involved in their units success.
District Newcomer of the Year: Newly registered Scout leader who is currently registered in 2012-2013 program year, who has become an invaluable individual asset to their respective unit. Open to Pack, Troop, Crew, or District volunteers.
